Assignments and responsibilities: Consultant on nutrition issues, Adjunct Professor at Tufts University and student preceptor at Simmons College. Member of the working group examining the feasibility of developing an Accelerator program and East Coast training location for Estonian start-ups in Boston which is rich in educational and technology resources including MIT, Harvard and Tufts Universities. Active member of Boston Estonian Society. Former consultant to the Ministry of Social Affairs of Estonia.
Professional experience: PhD in World Development and Food Security from Tufts University. Extensive experience in clinical and educational sectors of the field of nutrition with a present focus on issues of aging. Healthy eating presentations at various conferences. Consultancy on nutrition, health care and education issues. Collaboration with UNICEF relating Estonia’s children and family matters. Joint research work with Estonian universities and clinics.
Areas for promoting cooperation with Estonia: seeking and promoting alliances between educational institutions in Massachusetts and in Estonia. Application for an EU grant proposal 2020 for a health-related projects.
Vision: developing a website for the use of Estonian entrepreneurs and start-ups working in this area.
