Professional Experience: Master Degree in Electrical Engineering and in Applied Physics; top level expertize in evaluation and development of advanced Electronics, with emphasis on automatic Image Processing, CAD and Laser Scanning, advanced 3D Visualization, 3D Modeling and Architectural Visualisation focused on city planning and infrastructure development. Professor for “3D modelling and Architectural Visualization” for Infrastructure development at LiU - Campus Norrköping. Very good knowledge of machinery and automation in the textile industry. The “MAXBO- Loom” revolutionized textile industry production worldwide, thereafter came the “MAXBO Shuttleless Air Loom”, which is now in the Textile Museum in Norrköping. Michael has Patents covering hardware implementable algorithms for “Distance measurements in binary Digitized Images” – used for “Automatic printed circuit board inspection”. Design of Sweden´s first flatbed laser scanner. Many scientific papers in Image Processing, 3D Visualisation and 3-dimensional Facial Reconstruction from laser scanned data.

Sectors for developing relations with Estonia: The industrial and professional environment in Estonia, with a strong IT knowledge, is an area with great potential for software and hardware companies, as well as Estonian Academia. Sweden has small or almost nil knowledge of Estonia as a strong player in the IT sector today. Estonia should be more introduced as a substantial supplier in the building component and construction area also. The long term historical ties with Sweden also lead to numerous cooperative project possibilities, including art, literature and cultural expositions.
