Office of the Estonian Honorary Consul opened in Beirut

On 28 April Director General of the Political Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Paul Teesalu and Estonian ambassador to Lebanon Marin Mõttus opened the office of the honorary consul for Estonia in Beirut, Fouad Fadel.

At the opening Teesalu said that relations between Estonia and Lebanon were good and that there were opportunities to further those relations in many areas. “Our new honorary consul will be able to contribute by mediating the contact details of entrepreneurs, and he will also provide support and advice to any Estonian citizens in need of consular assistance,” he added.

Fouad Fadel was born in 1971 and is an entrepreneur. He is one of the owners of the Fadel Group, a family company which has been operating since 1936. He also established the Fouad & Toufic Foundation, which is active in the fields of health care and education.
