Assignments: Eötvös Loránd University Faculty of Arts, member of Faculty Council, coordinator of the Estonian Studies MA and BA degree program at ELTE University Budapest. Former correspondent for Radio Free Europe. Professional experience: PhD in History, MA History, MA Finnish Studies and MA Russian Language and Literature at Eötvös Loránd University, Budapest. Broad experience in promoting Estonian culture: establishing an Estonian Institute in Budapest; establishing Estonian lectoral position and Estonian Studies MA and BA program at Eötvös Loránd University of Budapest. Scientific researches on history of Estonia, Finland and Baltic Finnic Peoples, history of the Hungarian-Estonian relations and history of minorities in Estonia. Lecturing on Estonian history, Estonian culture, Finland, Baltic Finnic Peoples as well as translation and interpretation. Supporting bilateral educational contracts - student exchange etc. Associations: acting president of the Hungarian-Estonian Society, member of board of the International Committee for Finno-Ugric Congresses. Potential for developing relations with Estonia: Promotion of Estonian and Hungarian inventions in Health Care and Food Products (e. g. cancer protection, Alzheimer disease prevention), Health Tourism, Information Technology. Establishing a scholarship program or use an Erasmus mobility possibility for Estonian students who are interested in teaching Estonian as a Second Language to visit foreign universities where Estonian is taught (Hungary, Poland etc.) to help to improve this field. Establishing partnerships between Estonian and Hungarian cities and churches. Visions: As a historian of Hungarian and Estonian descent and having a vivid connection with both cultures I am interested in forming a mutually positive image of Estonian and Hungarian nations without stereotypes - by the means of reviewing the information about the two nations in the textbooks of schoolchildren as a first step.
